Montreux Noël: Santa flies over Lake Geneva, and it's free

Every evening in December, Santa flies over this lake. It's free 🎅✨ Go on a Tuesday evening. Same flying Santa, and one of the quietest days of the week. Montreux sits at the eastern end of Lake Geneva in French-speaking Switzerland, and every December its lakeside quays turn into Montreux Noël. 📅 20 November to 24 December, more than 150 chalets along the lake, 200 m from the station 🎅 The Flying Santa is free: Mon to Fri at 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00, weekends from 16:00. Stand between the Freddie Mercury statue and the Ferris wheel ⛴️ Christmas cruise: 45 minutes on a Belle Époque steamer past Chillon Castle, CHF 49 adults, CHF 29 children 6 to 15, on set Saturdays and 21 to 23 December. Book ahead 🏔️ Santa's House sits at 2,042 m on Rochers-de-Naye, about 55 minutes up on the cogwheel train. Places are limited The market is cashless: card or Twint, but no American Express, and cups carry a CHF 2 deposit.
