The Christmas markets still open after Christmas Day

Most Christmas markets shut on 24 December. These 7 don't 🎄 No. 1 is my favourite: a palace and its market, still running on 6 January. 1️⃣ Schönbrunn, Vienna: to 6 January. From 25 December it's open 10:00 to 19:00 2️⃣ Old Town Square, Prague: 28 November to 6 January 3️⃣ Wenceslas Square, Prague: to 6 January, 10:00 to 22:00 4️⃣ Riesenradplatz, Vienna: under the Prater's giant wheel, to 6 January, and open until 2 am on 31 December 5️⃣ St Stephen's Basilica, Budapest: 13 November to 1 January 6️⃣ Rathausplatz, Vienna: the market ends on 26 December, but the ice rink on the square runs to 6 January (closed on New Year's Eve) 7️⃣ Belvedere, Vienna: to 31 December The trap is the week everyone finally has off. Nuremberg closes at 14:00 on Christmas Eve, so don't book it for the 27th. Vienna and Prague are the two cities that keep a market going to 6 January, so build that week around them. 👉 Swipe for all seven and the dates that catch people out.
